Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody that needs to be safely managed through detox services when seriously dependent to drugs, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services during their rehabilitation procedure. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions regarding intensity of care, for the reason that individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to be in a rehabilitation facility while undergoing rehabilitation services. While this may appear perfect it may not provide the required change of environment than many individuals in rehab need to experience a productive rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals actually have a great deal of leverage because they can choose whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, treatment programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation centers will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present another kind of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of facilities, and in this case individuals might want to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality rehab program that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in setting up the person's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab facilities. Individuals might have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility that's inside their network of providers and there might be other restrictions like how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a quality facility they like and meet with a treatment counselor to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain substance abuse treatment services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it's clear just how long and individual can remain in the treatment facility of choice.
