Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody that needs to be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily addicted to drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health solutions as part of their treatment process. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions with regards to level of care, as the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of having to stay in a rehab program while receiving treatment services. Although this might seem ideal it will not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many people in recovery have to have to have a successful rehabilitation.

Spanish

Not all drug rehab centers have the staff or resources to focus on the demands of Spanish speaking clients, but luckily there are more and more centers that are able to do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than any other time. Therapy, study information and so on are now very often accessible in Spanish in both long and short terms centers which provide inpatient or residential rehabilitation and outpatient Spanish rehabilitation is also available nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, treatment programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain treatment programs will take Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present any other kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may choose to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment center that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at alcohol and drug rehab facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with establishing the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If a person doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might be eligible for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only within the state which provides the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some type of drug and alcohol treatment service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug rehab facility which is within their network of providers and there may be other limitations for example how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a quality center they prefer and speak with a rehab specialist to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some limitations concerning how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is permitted, and every one of these questions will be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear the length of time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of preference.
