Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody who should be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who requires a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions during their treatment procedure. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment services regarding intensity of care, since the individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to be in a rehabilitation facility while undergoing rehabilitation services. Although this might appear ideal it will not provide the required change of atmosphere than many people in treatment need to experience a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of this issue can often be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and also other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse treatment is necessary. Apart from ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are obtaining the help they need in drug and alcohol treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehab or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may appear like a disadvantage but people actually have a much more leverage because they can select whichever center they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many people face. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some treatment programs accept Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present any other type of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may wish to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to pay for a more quality rehab facility that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with establishing the person's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some sort of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals might have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment facility that's within their network of providers and there can be other limitations such as just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they like and meet with a treatment specialist to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular substance abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs and also partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before you begin treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation center of choice.
