Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment

Partial hospitalization, or Day Treatment as it is often called, is a type of alcohol and drug rehab center set up for those who need and desire a comprehensive and organized rehabilitation plan and atmosphere yet don't require 24 hours a day supervision. It can help make individuals in recovery stay supported treatment process without upsetting other activities they might need to maintain whilst in treatment. Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is also an alternative for those who have completed an inpatient or residential facility and need assistance with the smooth transition back into an average drug-free lifestyle.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but people actually have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people face. In addition, treatment facilities will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehab facilities will take Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present any other type of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of facilities, and in cases like this individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality treatment facility that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they may be eligible for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some form of alcohol and drug rehab service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab centers. Individuals might have to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program that is inside their network of providers and there can be other limitations including how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they like and meet with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will handle it.
