While this may appear ideal it may not provide the required change of environment than many individuals in treatment need to experience a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you'll find ASL along with other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehab is necessary. Other than ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the help they require in drug and alcohol treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals actually have a much more leverage simply because they can select whichever program they would like without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many individuals face. In addition, treatment programs will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present some other type of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of facilities, and in this case individuals might want to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality treatment facility which will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment program.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some sort of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that is inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions like just how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can choose a quality center they like and meet with a rehab specialist to ascertain if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain substance abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers as well as partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
