Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions in terms of level of care, because the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of needing to stay in a treatment center while receiving rehab services. Even though this might appear ideal it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than a lot of people in rehabilitation have to have to have a successful rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, rehabilitation programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation facilities accept Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present some other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality treatment program which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug rehabilitation centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in establishing the individual's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they may be eligible for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some sort of alcohol and drug rehab service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug treatment centers. Individuals could have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehab facility which is within their network of providers and there can be other limitations like the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select an excellent center they like and meet with a rehab counselor to determine if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some limitations regarding how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it is clear how long and individual can remain in the treatment program of preference.
