Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that needs to be safely managed through detox services when heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services as part of their rehab process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment solutions with regards to level of care, since the individual is able to keep their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of having to stay in a rehab facility while receiving treatment services. Although this might appear ideal it will not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many people in rehabilitation require to have a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue can often be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services designed for them when substance abuse rehab is required. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the help they need in drug and alcohol treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these situations, it may seem like a disadvantage but people really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehab centers will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present another type of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab in a limited amount of facilities, and in this instance individuals may choose to explore the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehabilitation facility that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug rehab facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some sort of alcohol and drug rehab service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab facilities. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which is inside their network of providers and there may be other limitations such as how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent program they prefer and speak with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular substance abuse treatment solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some restrictions as to how much time a stay in inpatient drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before you start rehab so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment program of choice.
