Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services with regards to intensity of care, as the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to be in a rehabilitation center while undergoing treatment services. Even though this may appear ideal it will not provide the much needed change of atmosphere than many people in rehab need to experience a productive rehab.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who struggle with drug use could have unique challenges they must conquer whilst in rehabilitation, which treatment professionals within the rehab they opt to take part in must be keen of to ensure that a full recovery is possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is advisable to select a rehab that's familiar with helping seniors and older adults deal with the distinctive life and substance abuse issues that these clients face that might include a broader spectrum of solutions including medical treatment and the like.

Spanish

Not all drug and alcohol rehab centers have the staff or wherewithal to cater to the needs of Spanish speaking clients, but luckily there are more and more programs that can do so because the need for Spanish services is higher than ever before. Counselling, study info and the like are now very often obtainable in Spanish in both short and long terms facilities which deliver inpatient or residential rehab and outpatient Spanish rehab is also available nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but people in fact have a much more leverage due to the fact they can select whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many individuals face. Likewise, rehab centers will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some treatment centers accept Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present some other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality treatment facility that will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehab centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug and alcohol treatment service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities. Individuals might have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that is inside their network of providers and there might be other restrictions including the length of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select an excellent center they like and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular substance abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some limitations regarding how much time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before beginning treatment so that it is clear the length of time and individual can remain in the treatment center of preference.
