Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment

Partial hospitalization, or Day Treatment as it is often referred to as, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program meant for individuals who need and require a comprehensive and organized rehab strategy and atmosphere yet don't require around the clock supervision. It can help make individuals in treatment remain supported treatment course of action without disturbing other activities they may need to sustain when in rehabilitation. Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is also a choice for individuals who have completed an inpatient or residential center and want help with the smooth transition back to an average drug-free way of life.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may appear like a disadvantage but people actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many men and women face. In addition, rehabilitation facilities will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug and alcohol rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with setting up the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some form of drug and alcohol rehab service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab programs. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug treatment program which is in their network of providers and there could be other limitations for example the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a good facility they prefer and meet with a rehabilitation counselor to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.
