Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehab solutions with regards to level of care, as the individual can maintain their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of needing to be in a treatment program while receiving treatment services. Although this might appear ideal it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many people in rehab need to have a successful rehabilitation.

Spanish

Not all drug and alcohol rehab centers have the staff or wherewithal to cater to the needs of Spanish speaking clients, but fortunately there are more and more programs that are able to do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than in the past. Counselling, study data and the like are now very often available in Spanish in both long and short terms programs which provide inpatient or residential rehab and outpatient Spanish rehabilitation is available too nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these cases, it may appear like a drawback but individuals really have a much more leverage due to the fact they can select whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, rehabilitation facilities will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation programs accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present some other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation center which will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug treatment program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the individual's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some form of drug treatment service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab programs. Individuals could have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehab program that is in their network of providers and there may be other restrictions like the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent center they like and meet with a rehabilitation counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of particular substance abuse treatment solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before you begin rehab so that it's clear how long and individual can stay in the treatment facility of preference.
