Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who needs to be safely managed through detox services when heavily addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health solutions during their rehab procedure. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehab solutions in terms of level of care, because the individual is able to preserve their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of having to be in a rehabilitation center while receiving treatment services. Even if this might seem perfect it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many people in rehabilitation need to experience a successful rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a much more leverage because they can select whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many men and women face. In addition, rehab centers will frequently provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some treatment facilities accept Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present another kind of private medical insurance. Medicaid may possibly pay for outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of programs, and in this instance individuals may wish to explore the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehabilitation facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in establishing the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't an option. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab programs. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which is within their network of providers and there can be other restrictions for example the length of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent program they prefer and meet with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain drug abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There might be some restrictions regarding how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions will be answered before you begin treatment so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation center of choice.
