Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehab solutions in terms of intensity of care, since the individual can maintain their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of having to stay in a rehab center while undergoing rehabilitation services. Although this might seem ideal it may not provide the required change of environment than many individuals in rehabilitation require to experience a productive rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but people really have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever program they would like without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many people encounter. Likewise, rehab centers will often offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present another kind of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may choose to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality rehab facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug treatment facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the person's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some form of alcohol and drug rehab service which range from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals may have to participate in a drug rehabilitation facility which is inside their network of providers and there could be other restrictions for example just how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select an excellent facility they prefer and consult with a rehabilitation specialist to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expense of certain drug abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some limitations regarding how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before you begin treatment so that it is clear how long and individual can stay in the treatment facility of choice.
