Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services in terms of level of care, because the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of having to be in a treatment facility while receiving rehab services. While this may seem ideal it may not provide the much needed change of environment than many people in rehab require to experience a successful rehab.

Spanish

Not all drug rehabilitation centers possess the staff or wherewithal to focus on the demands of Spanish speaking clientele, but thankfully there are more and more centers that can do so because the need for Spanish services is higher than ever before. Therapy, study information and stuff like that are now frequently accessible in Spanish in both short and long terms centers which provide inpatient or residential treatment and outpatient Spanish treatment is available too around the country.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these cases, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many individuals face. In addition, rehabilitation programs will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present any other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may want to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality treatment facility that will get better results, like a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol rehab facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they can talk with their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug rehab service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities. Individuals could have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that is in their network of providers and there could be other restrictions such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select a good facility they like and meet with a rehabilitation counselor to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular substance abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities along with partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions concerning how long a stay in inpatient drug rehab is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before you begin rehabilitation so that it is clear how long and individual can remain in the rehab facility of choice.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance option offered by a number of alcohol and drug treatment facilities to help help individuals afford rehabilitation where this might not have been possible originally. For instance, one client's price for rehab might be different and less than another individual whose finances are better which makes them more prepared to pay the full expense of rehabilitation. Registrars take into consideration additional factors in addition to income including amount of dependents to determine the final cost using the sliding scale.
