Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that has to be safely managed through detox services when intensely addicted to drugs, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health solutions as part of their treatment process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Criminal Justice Clients

Criminal justice clients get into rehab due to a court ruling to meet a part of their sentencing for any drug offense. Criminal justice clients in drug and alcohol rehab often receive reduced sentences, fines etc. when cooperating with drug and alcohol treatment specifications enforced on them in sentencing and particularly of course when successfully completing a drug rehab center.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present some other type of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation program which will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug rehab service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs. Individuals might have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab program that is within their network of providers and there could be other limitations such as how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose a quality facility they prefer and consult with a rehab specialist to determine if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of particular drug abuse treatment services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations concerning how long a stay in inpatient drug treatment is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
