Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment services regarding intensity of care, as the individual can keep their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of having to remain in a rehabilitation center while receiving rehab services. While this might seem ideal it will not provide the required change of surroundings than many people in treatment need to experience a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use because of the problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and other assistance services readily available for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Besides ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the help they require in drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance won't cover the total cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but people really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever program they would like without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many men and women face. Likewise, treatment centers will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers will take Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present another type of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals may choose to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality treatment facility that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only inside the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug and alcohol treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment programs. Individuals could have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab center that's inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions for example the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent center they like and consult with a rehabilitation counselor to determine if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular drug abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some restrictions concerning the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation facility of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance possibility provided by a variety of drug and alcohol treatment programs to help help clients pay for rehabilitation where this may not have been doable originally. For instance, one client's fee for rehabilitation may be different and less than another person whose finances are better making them better able to pay for the full cost of treatment. Registrars take into consideration other factors besides income including amount of dependents to ascertain the final cost using the sliding scale.
