Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody who has to be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions during their rehab procedure. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use as a result of challenges their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem is often hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL along with other assistance services designed for them when substance abuse treatment is required. Besides ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired people are receiving the support they require in alcohol and drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever program they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people face. In addition, rehab programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some treatment programs will take Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present some other kind of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment program which will get better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at alcohol and drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in establishing the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug rehab service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities. Individuals could have to take part in a drug rehab center which is inside their network of providers and there could be other restrictions including how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose a quality program they prefer and consult with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular substance abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some restrictions regarding how much time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before you begin rehab so that it is clear the length of time and individual can stay in the treatment program of preference.
