Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions in terms of intensity of care, because the individual can preserve their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of needing to be in a rehab facility while receiving rehabilitation services. Although this might seem perfect it will not provide the required change of environment than many individuals in rehab require to experience a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of this issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and other assistance services designed for them when substance abuse treatment is needed. Besides ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the support they need in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but people actually have a much more leverage simply because they can select whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many people encounter. Likewise, treatment programs will frequently offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present another form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals may choose to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehab facility which will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at alcohol and drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If someone has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only inside the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug and alcohol treatment service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehab center which is in their network of providers and there could be other limitations including just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a quality program they like and consult with a rehab counselor to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular drug abuse treatment solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs and also partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some limitations concerning how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered prior to starting rehab so that it is clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehab facility of choice.
